The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to facilitate a severance which will be considered by the County at a later date. The Zoning By-law Amendment would reduce the 'minimum lot area' for the severed parcel and reduce the 'minimum exterior side yard' to permit a larger dwelling on the severed lot than otherwise allowed. 

  • Recommendation:

    Subject to a review of submissions arising from the public meeting:

    That Council approve Zoning By-law Amendment Z-2024-066 (Mackintosh) and By-law 07-2025.

The Draft Cultural Heritage Master Plan (CHMP) is presented outlining the key recommended actions to conserve cultural heritage resources in Saugeen Shores.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council direct the Cultural Heritage Master Plan be brought back to a future meeting incorporating feedback provided by Council.

  • Recommendation:

    That items 8.1 through 8.2 be approved and received for information.

The Town of Saugeen Shores’ current Site Pan Control Area By-law does not include lands zoned Business Park (BP). An amendment is proposed that will allow the Town to require land within the BP zone to be subject to the Site Plan Control approval process. 

  • Recommendation:

    That Council adopt By-law 08-2025, a By-law to authorize an amendment to the Site Plan Control Area By-law to add the Business Park (BP) zone.

The holding provision can be removed from the subject lands, as Section 41 of the Planning Act no longer allows for developments that will be 10 residential units or less to be subject to Site Plan Control, and the servicing allocation for Phase 3 of the Woodlands Subdivision (S-2021-002) has been completed to the satisfaction of the Town. 

  • Recommendation:

    That Council adopt By-law 09-2025, a By-law to remove the Holding “h” provision from the lands described as LTS 1 TO 15, BLKS 16 TO 19 AND ACTON DRIVE on DRAFT PLAN OF SUBDIVISION dated February 28, 2024 by Brent England, OLS, of PT LTS 46, 47 AND 48, LAKE RANGE, (Saugeen Township), Town of Saugeen Shores; being part to PIN 33268-1390(LT).

  • Recommendation:

    That By-law 10-2025 being a By-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Town of Saugeen Shores is hereby read, passed and sealed this 13th day of January, 2025.

  • Recommendation:

    That this Regular Council meeting of January 13 2025, hereby adjourns at ______ p.m.
